Founded in 1994, Zhangzhou Keneng Electrical Equipment Co., Ltd. is holding subsidiary of Fujian Keneng Electronic Technology Development Co., Ltd, which integrated science, industry and trade high-tech enterprise. It has been concentrating on the research, development, production and marketing of intelligentized electric energy meters and remote automatic meter reading system since establishing.

The staff in Keneng take the operation principle of "create rationally, experience intensely" as to guide, developping enterprise spirit of "innovation, high efficiency, carefulness, harmony". After 14 years of hard work with a pioneering spirit, the company is affirmed successively as national high-tech enterprise, Fujian high-tech enterprise, member of ten strong software enterprises in Fujian, Fujian famous-brand product enterprises, member of ten preferred trademarks in China, the AAA credit class enterprise of Agricultural Bank of China, one of the first ten key private-owned technology enterprises in Zhangzhou etc. It is a great taxpayer and Class A taxpayer enterprise in Zhangzhou for the past years.

Keneng stands at Zhangzhou and faces to the entire country. "Xiamen Tuoneng IT Co., Ltd." was established in the second phase of Xiamen software park, "Xiamen Tuoneng Instrument Co., Ltd." was set up in Xiamen Kuanyinshan; “Low Voltage Carrier Communication Technology Research Institute was invested to build up in Peking. There all invested to establish a branch at Sichuan, Shanghai, Zhengzhou. The low voltage carrier meter reading system item invested in Sichuan has been included in Fujian key items to support the growth of the western regions by Provincial Department of Science and Technology, has acquired innovation fund for small and medium sized enterprises in Fujian. The information-based construction of the company has won the honor title of "manufacture information-based application demonstration enterprise in Fujian". The subordinate branch, Zhangzhou Huazhi Technology Development Co., Ltd, was recognized as "the software enterprise" by information industry office. Zhangzhou Keneng Electronic Town set up by the company are engaged in computer network, electronics auxiliary, the building supervision, automatic meter control etc. The company product of “single-phase power carrier multi-tariff meter and its meter reading system" was listed in the national torch plan item by the national science and technology department. The company undertook several key technology development items of province, city which brought the good social and economic benefits.

In 2007, the company invested 200 million yuan to construct Fujian Keneng  Technology Park which covers an area of 200 mu at Lantian Industrial Development District of Zhangzhou City. In the park, there have technology R&D center, instrument testing center, assembling complete appliance base, industry accessories manufacturing base, science and technology development base, cooperation base of schools and enterprises, technology incubation base on enterprises, schools and research institutions and business operation center.
